What Does The Ideal Boiler Fault Code 0 Mean?

Explanation of Fault Code 0

Usually, the Ideal boiler fault code 0 means that there is a general fault with the performance of the boiler. The presence of this code is an unmistakable indicator that your boiler needs urgent assistance.

Symptoms of Fault Code 0

Symptoms of Fault Code 0 May Include One or More of the Following:

  • Boiler not igniting or starting.
  • “Crash after a few seconds of running.”
  • The control panel froze on me again with code 0 large on the screen.

Brands and Models Affected

This is not model-specific, affecting any one of the Ideal boilers. Fault code 0 is a universal fault code that can be found on virtually any unit, including Logic Combi and Ideal Vogue series so we recommend seeking the advice of a professional who is experienced in the field.

Common Reasons Behind Ideal Boiler Fault Code 0

Knowing the cause of fault code 0 is the first step in its resolution. Here are some of the most common culprits of this problem:

1. Electrical Issues

2. All graphics are 90% simulated images.

Your boiler’s brain is the PCB. If it fails, communication between vital components can be stopped and a mistake in the system results.

3. Sensor Malfunctions

Temperature or pressure sensors are essential to the proper operation of your boiler. Fault code 0 can be generated if they do not relay the data correctly.

4. Gas Valve Problems

Blockages or malfunctioning of the gas valve will also stop your boiler from working correctly and result in an error.

5. Low Pressure or Airlocks

If your system has insufficient water pressure or air trapped in your pipes, it could lead to your boiler crashing and fault code 0 appearing.
